How To Replace Lexus Tires

Whether the thread on your tires has become worn out or you suddenly developed a flat tire, you need to change your tires to continue driving safely without endangering yourself and others on the road. Knowing how to change your tires yourself is very important as it will save you time waiting for help or potentially putting others at risk. If you don't know how to replace your Lexus tires, all you have to do is follow the steps highlighted below:

Find somewhere safe to pull over and apply your parking brake: depending on where you pull over and the time of day, you may need to turn on your hazard/warning lights to let other drivers know they are to avoid you. Make sure to pull over somewhere out of traffic but within sight of other people driving past.

  • Retrieve all the required tools from the cargo area of your Lexus: You will find that the cargo area of your Lexus contains all the equipment you need to replace your tires, like your jack and wheel spanner, so check in there and take them out.
  • Undo the lug nuts on your Lexus: grab your wheel spanner and use it to loosen the lug nuts on your tire. The goal is not to take them off entirely but to unscrew them just a little.
  • Lift your Lexus using your jack: once the lug nuts are loosened, you need to place the jack under your Lexus. The sweet spot to place the jack is usually underneath the car and about a foot away from the tire.
  • Remove the worn-out or flat tire: once your Lexus is safely lifted off the ground and supported by the jack, unscrew the lug nuts and pull the tire out from the brake rotor. Keep the lug nuts safe so you can easily get them back when you are done.
  • Mount the spare tire on your Lexus: once the worn-out/flat tire has been removed, mount the spare tire in its place and secure it using the lug nuts you removed earlier. Then, lower your Lexus carefully until it is back on the ground, and you can retrieve your jack.

Note that spare tires cannot run for as long as your permanent tires. The highest recommended distance you should drive with your spare tire is fifty miles and a maximum speed of fifty miles per hour.
