To Wax or Not to Wax

Many of our customers at Prestige Lexus of Middletown take advantage of our maintenance services, and during these appointments we're often asked about car wax. People want to know whether it's worth their time and money, and we believe it is.

Car wax gives your vehicle an extra layer of protection. Without it, moisture can start to penetrate your paint, and dust and grime can start to build up and possibly eat away at your surface materials. UV rays can also be harmful over an extended period of time. Wax is a clear coat that repels all of those things, keeping your car looking like new.

You could buy natural or synthetic wax yourself, or you could ask our team to do it after a car wash. Overall, it's a pretty simple procedure that we recommend having done two or three times a year.
